Geo.admin.ch has a highly comprehensive selection of maps available over the internet.  More than 193,000 places and rivers are recorded and a range of approximately 70,000 kilometres is covered.  That’s almost twice the distance around the Earth!
Hiking routes are identified by individual colours: Walking routes are marked in yellow, mountain routes in red and alpine routes in blue. 
All PDF documents can be saved and printed in A4 or A3 format in preparation for your walk.

Country maps will be made available and maintained by geo.admin.ch.
www.geo.admin.ch is a portal which provides information on geographical locations, services and public facilities which are available.

Using the enlargement function, maps can be viewed on a 1:1000 to 1:1,500,000 scale.
Places, mountain huts, rivers, oceans and much more can be located and viewed using he search engine.

Geo.admin states that maps are updated on an ongoing basis and where waterways and even steinbock colonies are to be found, additional information will be posted in the future.
